Markets in and around Maleny

If you are like me and love markets here is the market info of the hinterland. They are different to the coast as they have a huge number of growers from backyard ones as well as farmers that makes their living from their products. The soil on the range is rich red volcanic and up to just recently, heaps of its a growers paradise.  The range and number of top Art and craft people as well is huge on the range..people are attracted to the area that love the beauty so its full of artists.  Both of these areas are well catered for at the markets.

Sundays is the Maleny Markets 8am till 2pm where there is Art craft, home-made food coffee but not as much the farmers side but good to buy antiques and its all under cover at the RSL hall as you come into Maleny..flags up. I have bought all my Celery from Siggy Cairns there as she has fantastic pieces and I have got her to make up pieces to match outfits..talented lady.

The other markets are staggered first Sat of the month: Crystal Waters Market this is a community-run markets but it has Art, homegrown food of all kinds, famous sourdough bread, coffee, huzza food, plants..but this has a live band and other things put on to make it far more than a market..this is a must for an experience of olden day style markets.

The second Saturday of the month: Montville Growers Market. This has great organic veggies and I like to get one of the famous Cornish pasties or a Spinach and Pine Nut Roll from the Maleny Pie man and the coconut coffee and buy organic Lady fingers from Lyndsey’s Banana stall and my organic vegetables and fruit from the Naked Carrot from their Connondale Farm all next to the small Park middle of Montville.

The 3rd Saturday of the month is the Witta Growers Market out at the show grounds which has veggies, local cheese, nuts/seeds products, famous seedlings from Crystal Waters..line up for these, take away food and the well know coffee van…we all see when coming into Maleny on the hill in the mornings.unknown-1

The Third Sunday of the month is the Kenilworth Growers Market in the town park and this is all home-grown or made goodies.
